I wanted to make my first post a small introduction and explain why I am making this blog. My name is Roland and I am a 27-year-old living in San Antonio, TX.
As an entrepreneur, I have lived a pretty interesting life. I haven’t really worked a “real job” in 5 or 6 years. I’ve enjoyed great freedom to do whatever I want. While there have been great times, there have also been down times. Currently, I am experiencing the down times.
It’s not the end of the world and things will improve but I am not one to wait for that to happen on there own. I like to make changes and make sure things improve and quickly.
While it is not only my businesses that have been suffering, I recently found out some issues with my health. It is nothing too major but at only 27, it’s a little scary and if I don’t make changes now, I’ll be in trouble down the road.
So anyway, between the two problematic areas in my life, I was looking to make improvements. I am a huge advocate for the practice of *slow and steady wins the race*, in all aspects of life. I’ve made slow changes to my business and personal life to be healthier.
I want to put together a blog because, for one, it’s fun for me. Also, I enjoy doing the research and learning new things. I like to use it as a tool to record and measure what I learn. Lastly, I figure, I might as well make it a little project and see if I can help others. Actually, one of the things I will talk about later that I implemented in my life includes “passion projects” and I always feel guilty for leaving it blank. Now, I have a passion project.
This blog won’t focus much on the business side of things but more on the health parts, both mental and physical. There is a bit of crossover which is mostly where you’ll see the business changes. Mental health is extremely important to me and I find that has a great impact on my business as well as my personal life.
I found that for myself, I got caught up with things the past year or 2 and let things slip in my life. It is time to turn things around and as I do research, I am amazed at how easy new habits and changes are to incorporate into my life. Some things cost $25 and a few minutes per day but had drastic improvements in my life. And some are free which is even better.
It’s exciting for me to read about some food or ingredient that are PACKED with nutrients that I didn’t know about. You can see surprisingly big results when you substitute some of the bad foods in your diets for the nutritious alternatives.
I’ve only made changes within the last month or 2 but I can already see results. I feel better, my attitude is better, I just feel like I’m doing much better. Even though I know I’m in the early stages of the changes and by measurable metrics, there probably hasn’t been a huge change, mentally I can feel it.
I really hope I can help you and you can benefit from what I post. If one thing helps you, I’ll feel like I won. If it’s not for you, I appreciate you taking the time to look and read this and I hope you find what you’re looking for out there. Also, if there is anything you are interested in or would like to chat about, don’t hesitate to contact me. I always look forward to feedback and connecting with readers.
